Aims and Scope

The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Business (JAFEB) publishes original research analysis and inquiry into issues of Asian Finance, Economics and Business Management. The JAFEB is an international peer-reviewed journal, which is devoted to contemporary issues of finance, economics and business in Asia, including Central Asia, East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Middle East. The JAFEB publishes four issues per year quarterly in full English on the following dates: February 28, May 30, August 30, and November 30.
The mission of JAFEB is to bring together the latest theoretical and empirical finance, economics and business management research in Asian markets. The journal audience includes: business school academics and researchers, economists, social scientists, international business persons, and policy makers, as well as managers from both for profit and not for profit corporations.

Call For Paper

The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Business (JAFEB) is an open access journal that publishes research analysis and inquiry into contemporary issues of finance, economics and business in Asia. The journal is published four issues per year quarterly in English by both printed and online with DOI. We feel certain that the quality publication system of KODISA journals meets the international standard of journal publications.

Types of Paper:
Regular Article:
This should describe new and/or carefully investigated findings, and research methods should be given in sufficient detail for others to verify the work. Articles should be 5,000 - 7,000 words long to describe and interpret the work clearly. All regular research articles are peer-reviewed by minimum 3 referees.
Short Communication: This short communication is suitable for reporting the results of small investigations or giving details of new models, innovative methods or techniques. The style of main sections doesn’t need to conform to that of full-length papers. Short communications should be usually 2,000 - 4,000 words long. Short communication articles are also peer-reviewed.

Authors are encouraged to include tables and figures as part of the main file. All manuscripts must be accompanied by a letter which indicates briefly why the article is suitable for publication in the Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Business (JAFEB) and attests that “The article has not been previously published and is not under review elsewhere. All manuscripts must be prepared according to the JAFEB submission guidelines. Editorial Board of the journal will be very selective, accepting only the articles on the basis of scholarly merit, methodological rigor, and compliance with the journal’s style guidelines.

Article Processing Charge (APC): “Grant as Merited”

The Journal (JAFEB) is an Open Access journal accessible for free on the Internet. Yet, the print and online publication process does involve costs including those pertaining to setup and maintenance of the publication infrastructure, routine operation of the journal, processing of manuscripts through peer-reviews, editing, publishing, maintaining the scholarly record, and archiving. To cover these costs, the journal depends on APC also called Publication Fee.
The cost of APC is very often assumed either by the organization funding the research published in the article, or by the institution at which the author is employed.

þ The corresponding author will receive THREE hard copies of the journal publication by standard mail upon a payment of Article Processing Charge (APC) USD500.00 (Korean local currency 600,000 Won) per article.
þ APC is due when a manuscript has been accepted for publication. The corresponding author of an article is responsible for arranging the payment of APC before publication.

Waivers or Discounts of APC

1. For authors publishing in KODISA Open Access journals, KODISA offers waivers and discounts to authors based in KODISA Journals Editorial Membership/Reviewer Rewards Program.
2. To ensure that editorial decisions are never influenced by ability to pay, it is KODISA policy that editors of KODISA journals are not involved in correspondence with authors regarding payment of Article Publication Charges (APC).
3. The granted waiver system will be managed by editorial office and administrative staff not involved in decisions regarding article acceptance. We ask authors not to discuss any issues concerning payment with editors in the process of submission and review.
4. In addition to the Grant of Exemption above, some KODISA journals may offer additional waiver initiatives. These additional waivers will be managed by the editors and may be discussed with them directly.

Editorial Board/Reviewer Rewards Program

Though it is time consuming and often goes unobserved, there are some important rewards that make KODISA Journals editorial board members/reviewers worthwhile. KODISA journals never offer you with monetary benefits for reviewing the paper. On the other hand, you will be entitled following benefits:

1. KODISA Journals show their best reviewers with accolades at international conferences, print their name in journals, and consider their best and brightest reviewers for prestigious positions on their editorial boards, if available.
2. Over one year, a member can expect to receive 5-6 manuscripts for review. It provides an opportunity to work with outstanding professionals with expertise in their domains to help shape the future of the KODISA Journals.
3. Being on the editorial board of a KODISA journal is truly productive, pleasant and in fact prestigious which helps in add-on to the scientific world through the ways and guidelines given by experts in the relevant fields.
4. Proactive involvement also helps to ensure that board membership is a meaningful reward for ongoing service to the journal and not a self-perpetuating sinecure.

Note - KODISA journals have standard terms for editorial board members with the expectation that only those actively contributing to the journal would have benefited from the KODISA Editorial Membership/Reviewer Rewards Program above.
